Danish March
LoonBox:
Hello, new member here, first time posting. I found a tune I'd love to learn, does anyone play this on GC? Wondering if there's an easier route than learning it on another instrument and transposing it. Here are links to the tune and I also appreciate any advice about picking up tunes that are being played on differently keyed instruments.
Thanks

Learn to sing it off by heart.
Unless you have perfect pitch, playing a few diddles in the key of your choice will set your brain to the new pitch, then sing along.
Interesting that both players play in D regardless of whether it's inside row or outside but I guess C would be my key of choice on GC box.
Someone might have the dots, or ABC.

Thanks for the advice, that seems like a more direct approach than what I had imagined. Sounds like I need to check out the ABC system too. Appreciate having these resources available
Lester:
If you are tech savvy you could record the tune from YouTube using Audacity (free music editor) then use Audacity's Change Pitch tool to change the key to whatever you want.

And slow it down without changing pitch - I've used this tool quite a bit - put the headphones on and play along to pick up the tune.
