This could be a a vital backup skill when u forget your box and all you have to hand is some plastic hosepipe. >:E

The St Margaret House Settlement charity which promotes community music has  negotiated 15 quid off the usual 20 quid  one hour charge for Digeridoo beginners this coming Thursday.
So five quid for the hour, didgeridoos supplied by the outside digeridoo shop/teacher.
They need to get numbers up to around 15 and only half way there when we attended the Pipes and Whistle gig on Saturday, and they do not want to cancel so........ .

It is just a short walk up from Bethnal Green Tube station at 27 Old Ford Rd
You can either book online or  ring Martha or Hope to express interest by 1700  Monday (when office closes) or first thing Tuesd. morning.

  • Folk music: it's not as bad as it sounds
    • a few sound clips

Its amazing what you might discover when searching through the melnet archives ... who would've thought the didge would get a mention in here!
[I was looking for 1930s references, by the way]

Yes - there are some odd things which have found their way on to the forum.
The originator of this thread, Kautilya, sadly died a few years ago. I met him once at the English Country Music Weekend in 2009 in Ampthill. A nice chap.
