Sounds great. Box and playing. Is that new to you?
Thank you, Pete.
New-ish, I've started noodling it less than a month ago, but only practiced it seriously in the past two weeks or so.

I've quite enjoyed your tune as well  (:)

EDIT: Apparently you've meant the box and not the tune. I've been playing the box since Nov. or so when I visited the UK and Theo tuned it.

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?
Send me a private message or comment on the German Accordion Problem spreadsheet to improve the statistics of the project and get an estimate of the production date of the box if it is not known.

Thanks for the link, but I am slightly amazed that there are only 2 videos of you playing. Is it time to get back on the horse?

If only sorting all this digital stuff was as easy as riding a horse!

i'm not sure if this is slow enough to qualify?

This is a little waltz I've been working on, originally a fiddle tune from Virginia called 'The Rose Waltz'

Since the consensus on another thread is that is OK to repost old ones, Here's some I posted earlier:
Mrs Saggs
The Abbess - though I keep wondering if I should do it again without the second half of the tune doubled like that
Feed the Birds - which also qualifies for last month's theme, come to think of it
Cheshire Waltz - If waltzes count, I've got 10 waltz videos on YouTube, some of which I'd forgotten even existed.
The New Land - OK, that's enough waltzes...
Gypsy's Lullaby - originally posted for the Melnet "Slow Airs" theme
That's enough - better find a new one now...

You forgot Polperro Bay. Note please be aware this is Anahata playing, not me. Hope it's not considered bad manners.  ;D

With correct attribution, of course not  ;)
And yes, I did forget! As Clive said elsethread, after a while you find videos of yourself playing tunes you don't know and have never heard of! Thank you for reminding me  (:)

I forgot Return from Helsinki, too. It wasn't even TotM, but it was on the voting list once, apparently.

A pleasant tune from Steeleye. I hope I haven't spoilt it for you! If it had been on "Just a Minute", Nicholas Parsons would have stopped me for hesitation a couple of times, at least.

Played on the outside row of my current favourite, the Liliput.

Here's a slow tune: 4th Horn

Lots of fine tunes are coming out of this ThOTM but this piece is extraordinarily moving, to me at least. Is this one of your tunes?

Thanks so much, Pete. Yes it is. The first 4 notes are the 4th horn solo from Brahms' 4th Symphony. After that it's completely different.

Beautifully played Edw Winston. Love the sound of that Lilliput as well. Is that your entry for last month, as well?

Well, thank you for the flattery, kind sir. I hadn't thought of spreading the tune over both months, but it sounds like a good idea.

This was very pleasant to hear and you've encouraged me to look for the original, which must say something :)

Red Prairie Dawn by Gary Harrison, original key A.  Turned up in despatches earlier today. The original is played as an American Reel but there are a lot of slower versions posted on social media, (including an excellent take by Laura Carrivick and friends played in G).

Three times through, and then a trimmed out-take. Comes in at five minutes, which is very long for me. Tune out, or off, at will (if not hypnotised). Some interesting syncopation mean that the tune feels 'crooked' in parts.

All the best

Some polkas played in a relaxed way on my newly repaired Organetto in Aflat. Not sure what I think of it.

Lovely little sound there. So it seems that organettos come in all sizes? My 9+4 treble with 4 basses was about the same size as a Hohner 4 stop. That one of yours looks more like the size of a Giordy! Lovely acoustics in there as well.

Thanks!

I can't be certain, but the construction of this little one seems very similar to the giordies I have seen.
