Here's a fresh one, though it's a tune I've known for a while.

The Lord Zouche's Maske - Possibly the oldest tune I (or most of us) have ever played.

Technical note for recording nerds:
Just for fun, I tried using an EV 635A mic for this. It's an omnidirectional dynamic mic originally designed for newsgathering, extremely robust with quite limited frequency response at both both high and low ends, but remarkably smooth in the mid range, designed in the 1960s and still going strong.  I bought one because somebody whose opinion I respect said no studio would be complete without one! Because I have only one, this recording is in mono.

Ok, wish me luck. Ofsted are coming tomorrow, and I've got year 9 most of the day. They are doing something in groups, but as a starter I was going to do a melodic dictation on the intro to Brown Eyed Girl. Decided to risk taking the melodeon, and to see if I can play something whilst teaching I thought I'd record something for here, but talking immediately before.

Lovely - one of my favourite Delicq tunes. And all the best for the Ofsted visit.

i'm not sure if this is slow enough to qualify?

This is a little waltz I've been working on, originally a fiddle tune from Virginia called 'The Rose Waltz'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQXtkwtqdJs&feature=youtu.be

I quite like this! Very confidently played.

By the way, I was just listening to the fiddle version on the "Old Time Fiddler's Repertory" CD, which I bought because I was on the hunt for the original "Rose Lawn Quadrille" as mentioned in the liner notes of The Complete Brass Monkey. (That led me to the exciting discovery that the album track listing has "Rose Lawn Quadrille" mixed up with "Da Floo'er O' Taft / The Lass of Patie's Mill", which makes more sense of the tunes once it's clear the titles were reversed!)

I feel eviscerated. And I wasn't observed. I have so many better suggestions of ways to observe and 'label' a school. Anyway... I felt really comfortable playing the melodeon to some lovely students. Although I wasn't observed, the head said that he had lots of positive feedback about the amount and quality of the student playing all day, so hopefully I haven't done any further damage to our profile. Thanks for the support.
I was asked to list the different aspects of the perfect storm that affects arts provision in schools, and I am still talking now. Hooray for melnet.

Here is Tiger Smith's (or Oscar Woods') Jig:
https://youtu.be/_uQQ_Xsz2Eo

I don't know if this precisely qualifies as "slow" but it's definitely a heck of a lot slower than I had to play it when I sat in with a contra dance band last September. I was actually planning to work up a different tune entirely, but then I sort of unexpectedly bought this Hohner 114C about a week and a half ago and haven't put it down since. :|bl Influenced by John Kirkpatrick's recording (as usual), and I tried to really bring out the unusual syncopation in the B part from the original recording, which gets flattened out in the contra version.

Just made it.

Combination of last and this month's theme...a slow song tune.

I was fortunate enough to count Bill Caddick as a friend for some 40 years...and to share a stage with him for some 15. Here, by way of an elegy, is his Eights and Aces.

What a good crop this month! Thanks very much folks; time to move onto a new theme. Please feel free to stick any late contribs on the end here as ever!
