Andy May has written some superb slow tunes for example Leaving Copenhagen which is recorded here with Andy May on piano, Ian Stephenson on C#D box and Sophy Ball on Fiddle https://andymaytrio.bandcamp.com/track/leaving-copenhagen from the Andy May Trio album “About Time”

And Ellington, a lament for the closure of the last coal mine in the northeast of England

From his album “Happy Hours”

(Lament for) Ian Dickson written, and played in this video by Anthony Robb, is a lovely tune. I have the abc somewhere and can dig it out if anyone is interested. The original title was simplified to 'Ian Dickson' at the request of Ian Dickson's widow.

I would appreciate the abc for Ian Dickson  very much. I love the tune and play it after a fashion, but I've never managed to get it quite right.

Ah yes, I was only trying to get the tune across really but I should have mentioned the fine accompaniment too. Alice Burn has come on quite a lot since then!
