Excellent. But terrible. My old orchestra had their entire bass section (8 double basses) turned to matchwood on a tour, where they just threw the basses off the back of the plane.

Given the wonders of the British postal/security network mere arrival in the face of Brexit might be seen as a triumph.

In January my 1040 languished in customs for a week en route from Jimmy. The HA112 was received along with a letter from HMRC suggesting that excise might be due! (It's the stops....luxury item... a mere 1 row 2 voice  with no stops like the Chanson "Child Prodigy" is clearly a neccessity of life). Waiting for my most recent order to clear customs.

To balance Peadar's experience, Yodel delivered my Preciosa from Jimmy next day, about an hour before the tracking info was received. I'm not often impressed by carriers but they had also tuned the awkward reed banks ;)  If only............

Your standards are high :)
Here in the middle east a week of delay is nothing special.

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?

What just does not make sense to me is the way that these three parcels- all of them going by PostNL & Royal Mail- the state service, rather than a private carrier network "disappear" for a week. I am told this is because they are waiting on customs inspection/clearance at the UK end.
My preference- is  to use Royal Mail/Parcelforce for High value packages- in the Inner Hebrides we are (almost) at the end of of a long chain of depots and sub depots and Post Office/Royal Mail/Parcelforce tracking  is the only one which tells me the actual staging point location of the parcel which in turn lets me to predict parcel arrival in real time. The one grey area is UK customs clearance. Are they checking for signs of life?
