Three more tune YouTubes with slowed-down demos for learning from the Horsmonden workshops:

Fox and Geese: https://youtu.be/L1RFJqRNVG4

The Kirkgate Hornpipe: https://youtu.be/jtWszKaD9VQ

The link to the third tune will appear in a reply to this email.

Here's the final tune, Wait for the Waggon: https://youtu.be/sO7rtnAEw7E

Cheers everyone, I hope you find this a useful way to learn both the basics of a tune and a few extra wrinkles...

Cheers, Gavin

Top stuff. Three of my favourite tunes - that I have known for ever. Fox and Geese I had from Kerr's, Wait for the Wagon is from Dolly Curtis and Kirkgate is from Kidson IRC.

Thank you!

You must have a long memory if you can remember where old favourite tunes come from!

I've played the Kirkgate for 30+ years and have no recollection where I got it from. The source could have been Kershaw, as I have a copy.

Wait for the Waggon I've played from time to time in happy sessions with East Anglian friends

Until recently Fox and Geese was one of those mysteries I could join in with but couldn't put a name to until I asked its name in a session in Sheffield a few weeks ago. I'm glad I did, as I've been enjoying it.
