Howard I must slightly disagree with you about row crossing.  All but one of the notes for A are on the D row likewise for C on the G row. 

That is undoubtedly true when talking about the right hand in isolation ... but when playing in A - row crossing allows you to play the E bass for a dominant chord on the pull along with most notes you would need to play also available on the pull.  When playing in C - the sub-dominant chord F is not even available and so you are unlikely to find playing with a 2-handed approach as easy in C on a D/G box.
