Another bouquet for Theo and Clive
« on: November 11, 2007, 08:20:53 AM »

I'm just posting quickly from my phone at Melodeons at Witney. I was delighted to discover that the site degrades gracefully to a simple interface for mobile devices. It's really easy to read on the move. I don't know if it was deliberate but I really appreciate it. Thanks!

If you go over to the Spiers & Boden message board which has been newly Aimooed in thier 'upgrade' (now it's like wading through treacle to navigate it at all) you''ll see what a lucky escape we've had!  :o

Geeze Louise, I've never seen a forum respond so slowly. I've got a mega-fast connection here, and it still took about 3 minutes just to bring up the first page. I've tried to access a few threads, and they're just as slow.

Gentlemen,

You are "superstars" and are officially allowed to wear your underpants on the outside!

Thank you both for grabbing the thing by the horns (cue Abbotts Bromley soundtrack) and delivering.
A very professional project, well executed.

Thanks.

hi all,

I have been a bit slow to log on to the new site but it is good to be back. I will add my thanks to Theo and Clive, life would just not be the same without my lunchtime fix at work. I now have to work out how to put up a picture and come out. "Hi my name is malcolm and I play the melodeon"

malc

ps. the word melodeon is not in the spell check

I, too, missed the chance to heap praises on Theo, Clive, et al. for all their time and hard work getting this site rolling.  It gets more complete daily!

Three cheers (and a tiger) as my mum used to say.

Thanks Jamie. :)

I don't ever expect it to be "complete" though.  The biggest advantage of this setup is that its being run by more than one person, and it has opportunities to involve more people in creating material.
