While there are lots of terrific 48 bar jigs, like some other contributors here I've decided to start by exploring other rhythms that come in three parts.
I have a few more up my sleeve...

Here's Will Atkinson's Schottische played in C on a Hohner 1-row.
I got this pair of Royer R-10 ribbon microphones recently, and I think they sound great on melodeons. (and on lots of other things, actually)

Here's another. This one's a slip jig: The Long Room At Scarborough learned from Pete Coe and the other musicians for Ryburn Longsword in West Yorkshire.

And finally, for the moment: The Tumblers Hornpipe a 3/2 from James Biggins His Book unearthed by Nick Barber from the Leeds Reference Library.

Oh nice. This one really had that pure and uplifting hornpipe feeling to it. Loving it.
Care to share the dots/abc?

Edit:
This is what I could find on the internet. I suppose it's the correct one.

This is what I could find on the internet. I suppose it's the correct one.
Of course, it's got my name on it!
Yes, that version is closer to what I play than the official version from VMP which I've just posted above.
But the VMP version is likely to be closer to the original.
And I don't know where yours came from, because I can't find that exact version on my computer now....  ???

Banish Misfortune (paired with the Foxhunter's Jig which isn't 48 bars but it's just a reflex to play them together these days...)

Paddy Carey's (yep, jumping on the bandwagon because who couldn't like this tune!)

Great playing Saul. Always a good rhythm and interesting arrangements. Brilliant thanks.

Didn't realise it was early closing day  ;D

I was hoping to get this right, but time flies like an arrow...

The Cream Pot
A tune I first heard played by The Geckoes. A good 48 bar jig for a session..

I thought for a bit about the tunes I wanted to do the 48 bar theme. I ultimately opted for possibly the first pair of 48 bar jigs I ever learnt, When Daylight Shines and Dingle Regatta - I learnt them from this video of Pikey's playing in this video which coincidentally he submitted for a 48 bar jigs theme in September 2011.

I'd found this video not because I was trying to find 48 bar jigs, but, because I was chasing the sound of 3 voice instruments + my tantalising first encounter with a Black Pearl II - an interest developed in the rarely spotted BP III, and mostly is what drove me to even start posting here on melnet. I ended up going back to Pikey's video several times over the following months, and decided some day to learn the tunes, but, with the grainy video it and the bass end vanishing off screen, it was a little hard to see exactly what he was doing when my ears failed me. I messaged him at one point about the first tune's name, in his video it is labelled as Three Meet, which is a name it can be found as in eg Mally's tune books, but, an entirely different tune is usually located when one searches ABC websites. He did let me know of it's other name, When Daylight Shines, and I was able to find some sheet music right away and which helped me fill in the blanks in the transcription I'd made.

I did, of course, learn the tunes some years ago, but rarely play the former tune as it hasn't grown popular at my sessions, so, what better time to play it again than yesterday, apparently! But, second best time is still surely today, which I have done! I also managed to over expose my video again but that's ok too because you can clearly see the keyboard and bass buttons still. To be honest, I find my taste has changed a little with what I end up doing (or not) with my bass end for these. Since I'm conjuring tunes up from my memory of years past, I'm also conjuring up crustier left hand knowledge, and I can only imagine that if I had to write accompaniment for them today, I'd probably write it a little differently. Maybe I should do just that.

Ultimately, I play this fairly clumsily, but I got through the whole recording process in about 15 minutes and honestly was in 2 minds between using this or the 1st take - that fact alone is really where the progress is to be found compared to my first submission to tune of the month around 2 years ago. Plus the mistakes are mostly self correcting or in the right direction. And, I enjoyed myself.

Nicely played, although I always assumed it was illegal to play When Daylight Shines without playing Oats, Peas, Beans first  (:)

Based on everything I have learnt over the last 2 years, I believe the correct response to this is to 'feign ignorance and blame Pikey'.

Also, thank you for the compliment. Coincidentally, it was your recording of the combination of Oats, Peas, Beans & of When Daylight Shines that confirmed for me that that had been the name of the tune I'd been looking for (the pairing reference was actually just in the description, woops). Generally, if anything, I've heard Dingle Regatta played with Sweets of May instead. Perhaps opting for Oats, Peas, Beans as a pairing for Daylight would be more fruitful in encouraging the locals to pick the tune up... after that I'll be able to play all 4 tunes in a row!!

For years I've been playing When Daylight Shines after Trip to Cottingham (often called Sally Sloane's). Not an oat or pea in sight...

And yes, Sweets of May with Dingle Regatta used to be a very popular pairing.

Late contribution as I could not learn and record it any earlier.

https://soundcloud.com/laubblaeser/tumblers-hornpipe-take-1

Learned by Anahata's abc transcription of the tune.

I still have a long way to go when it comes to maintainig the pulse and dynamics of this tune. However, I'm fairly happy with how I managed to record it, so I decided it's good enough for you to listen to my progress. Will definitely keep this melody in my standard repertoire as it is just absolutely satisfying to play! (:)
