I think it's a question of "build it and they will come"
I have a little melodeon session (three people all sort of still working out how to play) session that meets almost weekly, here in the pioneer valley of Western Mass. We are all on various Morris sides and also attend "pub sings" of which there are a couple of regular ones that include many English songs among the repertoire.
There are I think, thirteen or more Morris/sword/ border sides in greater Boston, and about 8 here in the valley plus several in nearby Vermont, etc. That's a lot of people involved in English traditional music, plus there are some English tunes used in the very active local contra dance scene. There are even occasional English country dances that still happen out near Boston (we lost ours when the caller moved out east 20 years or more ago)
It would not be hard to start a session for the instruments that want to get together and play the instrumental part.
If New England folks want to message me their contacts, ill let them know when we put one together. We could alternate Eastern and western sides of the state if someone else wants to figure out the Boston area venue,
