Thought I'd take the plunge and post a video.  I've been playing for nearly three years.  The first of these tunes is from an album called "everything and .....' by Duck Soup (Dan Quinn; Ian Kearey; Adam Bushell and Jules Bushell) Hebe Music 2017.  It comes from the Welch family of Bosham, West Sussex, and was found in a early 19th century tune book.   The second is Melnet TOTM June 2012 by the fantastic McGrooger.  Played on my Maestro - several of these were commissioned by Dave Mallinson in the 1990s from Serenellini.

Instructive to compare the YouTube recording with the (speeded-up) MIDI generated by the ABC...

One of mine, methinks.
The Battle of the Nile was a major naval battle between the British Royal Navy and the Navy  of the French Republic at Aboukir Bay, off the coast of the Nile Delta, from the 1st to the 3rd of August 1798.

The manuscript includes a fascinating eye-witness painting of the event. Can't  have been done by John Butterey, though, as he wasn't there.

There are two 'The Battle of the Nile' tunes shown here - one is a march.   My music reading isn't great but I only see a vague resemblance between these transcriptions and the tune I picked up by ear from the Duck Soup album!  No 227 seems closer.   And how do you access a midi version?

(1) By gum, so there are!

(2) 727 (not 227?) does seem closer. 'T'ain't possible to attach MIDI files to posts here, so you'll need
to install an ABC editor/player and cut-and-paste the two versions into the player and listen to them
that way.

5 minutes later: I generated some MP3 files as well, using MuseScore, but they are both too large
to attach to posts here (>512kB). Sorry! :(
