I love this tune -- I don't know much like it. According to the liner notes (and the woman at the end) it was a pretty popular party tune in the old days. Does anyone know of any other recordings in this style?

Doesn’t answer your question at all, but sounds a bit ‘Cajun’ to me....perhaps explore that?

Leadbelly - Huddie Ledbetter - better known as a singer and 12-string guitar player, recorded four tracks, in a similar style, playing a one row melodeon.
