Base scales
« on: September 16, 2009, 06:42:51 AM »

I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e65M9h2DtX4&NR=1 by accident

Nice exposition of where the base scales lie on a D/G diatonic rows.  I'd comment that you don't have to start scales on "Do", and that walking your fingers up between the rows is less effort (and eventually slicker) than push pull. But both ways work

eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKxrDqtSy9c on the 'related' list has the same lesson (walking fingers version) for a G/C/F - suddenly I understand Tex Mex!

Both worthy of a watch  Chris
