Örgeli mini diatonic...
« on: September 26, 2019, 08:16:19 AM »

Over on the accordionists forum 'stephen' posted this, which is v interesting. Anyone here got one?

This model looks te be new on the market. Swiss precision for backpackers playing free reeds.
The layout and details (but no information on the net weight) :
https://www.riggisbergeroergeli.ch/441710773

Die Hauptmasse: 12 x 16 cm.
 (12 centimeters high I suppose)

The Reist mini XL (the mini extra large...) has more buttons and more basses, but is 16,8 cm high (net weight: 1,1 kg)

I'm currently travelling (Switzerland->Germany) with my preciosa and I really appreciate the abundance of buttons.
This one looks like the tunes you can play are much more limited.
I'm not sure the saving in space and weight are worth it, but YMMV.

Another point is that at 1880 CHF (~1530 GBP) it nearly triples the risk you take by putting it in a backpack. The Reist mini XL quadruples (!) it.

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?
Send me a private message or comment on the German Accordion Problem spreadsheet to improve the statistics of the project and get an estimate of the production date of the box if it is not known.

The Reist has only one reed per note. (No info on the Riggisberger.)
