Sorry, can't log into the site on your link. I used to be able to access your site.
I have friends in Portland, will let them know.

I was able to log into Wordpress (I have an account I created to get hold of a piece of literature I think it was Will Kempe's). Didn't take me anywhere else, related to music, though

Well yes, it takes you to Gary's page, but I don't see a link to this event.

What about the post entitled "Night Before Thanksgiving Performance!" in the middle of the screen?

Have melnetters lost their ability to read? Is this something to do with our average age? I'm starting to wonder.

The post in question links to this page.

Gary, you had better make sure you have some ushers on hand to guide the visually impaired to their seats.  >:E

Quote
LE BON TRUC will ring in the holiday season with a long set at Blue in Portland, ME on November 27 from 7:30-9. Gary Chapin (accordions), Steve Gruverman (clarinets, bombard), and Barb Truex (dulcimer, tenor guitar, banjo uke) specialize in music from many areas of France, much of it from the folk dance traditions.  A few other fun pieces always get thrown in too. This is officially an “Irish Night” at Blue but the broader category is “Celtic” which covers much of France (and Spain) beyond the familiar Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England. Le Bon Truc’s repertoire encompasses tunes from Brittany, Alsace, Auvergne and more. There is always an Irish session at Blue after the featured concert. Come join us and get your winter season rolling!

Here you go. "melodeon" is an anagram of "old one me"

There's more information here: https://portcityblue.com/events/irish-night-concert-series-2019-11-27/

It seems that Gary's French band, Le Bon Truc, is part of the venue's "Irish Night Concert Series".

Knowing Gary I have no doubt that something interesting will be found in translation.

It is frustrating that folks are running into barriers getting to the site, but very gratifying that the Mel.Net team is on the case and figuring it out.

It will be a good time! Last year was a blast.

Is this a better link?

https://accordeonaire.com/2019/11/18/night-before-thanksgiving-performance/

Looks like the tech difficulties were my fault. My link pointed to the editing page, not the post.

Argh. And apologies.
