These musicians play melodeons in other videos, but not sure in this video. Any ideas?

Here's another recording that first got me interested in playing melodeon: Trio Loubeyla - Marzurka https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtcRut-oE9Y&list=RDAHq3GcWjY3s&index=3
Again, any ideas what kind of accordion is she playing?

FYI - I've been learning to play melodeon on a Hohner Pokerwork 1 row in C with 4 bass buttons. Its been great for a newbie like me for learning to playing folk songs and some fiddle tunes, but I'd like to get a more versatile instrument that can play rich harmonies as in these recordings. I'd love to hear recommendations for instruments I should consider.

Thanks,
David (in Atlanta GA USA)

Yes, all melodeons. The second clip is a Serafini, a French maker. The first clips are Castagnari. All 3 row with 18 basses. Glorious playing by all. I'm a massive fan of Pascale and Toon, and the first clip you showed is the reason I took up the melodeon.

Thanks for the info. Yes, Pascale and Toon are quite inspiring for me as well.

Can you tell what keys the 3 row instruments are in?

They are both Castagnari Handrys in C/F, (I think).

But CF may not be the best choice for you. DG or GC might be more useful depending on what music you'd like to play and what instruments others near you play.

Pascale and Toon's Handry's are in G/C/Acc. If memory serves me correctly the third row is Bruno le Tron's system. There are long discussions about their set up elsewhere on the forum. All good reading  (:)

Yep. Having decided not to go to our local folk festival (Shrewsbury) next year I now see that Naragonia quartet will be there ! Wonder if they will be at any other festivals...

That's what I thought at first, and in my reply (about 6 posts earlier) I originally stated that the Handrys were in G/C. However, in the linked video, looking at the bellows directions and buttons being pressed, the notes which came out didn't seem right for a G/C but made more sense for a C/F, hence my reply.

I should really look at the video more closely.
