m:?
« on: January 15, 2020, 06:57:07 PM »

I've recently come across a few constructs like this in an 'old' ABC file:

Code: [Select]
.
M:Tn = (3n/o/n/
m:Tn2 = (3n/o/n/ m/n/
M:C|
.

Do any of the ABC experts out there have any idea what this means? I can find no
trace of m:, or constructs like this in Steve Mansfield's Tutorial, Guido Gonzato's
manual, or in the ABC standard - though of course, I may have missed it...

Thank you.

Ah! Found it - it's a macro. I don't quite follow the first M: line though...

I agree! Confined to barracks with a heavy cold! I never would have spotted it myself, but
my experimental ABC 'error-checking' program picked it up, so I had to do a bit of 'digging'.

It looks like a little-used feature, so I think I'll just pretend it isn't there...8).
