Apres la pluie
« on: February 06, 2020, 06:20:17 PM »

I would like to try to learn 'Apres la pluie'  by Pascale Rubens on a D/G Melodeon but have only seen YouTube clips on a C/D.  Anyone got the dots for this so I could transcribe?

It's in their Diatonic Accordeon Tune book on the Naragoni website: http://naragonia.com/shop-2/
I would normally offer to help transcribe, but these are current musicians who publish their own material and it is easily available so I'd feel that I couldn't share the tune the way I normally would. The book is of course for GC, but most tunes would sound good on a 3 voice DG. By the way, the book is just the simple tunes, not any development - the youtube Pascale Rubens version - which is great - has a section where she just explores the chords in the right hand, and this is not in the book.

I realise that my previous post sounds like a shut out post, which to a new member especially isn't helpful. I still don't feel that I can share their notation, but if it helps I can do a rough video on a DG box for you to learn the notes from. Let me know.

Did one anyway. Just a bitty video with some break down of the main patterns. Air button now leaking quite badly, so lots of big bellows changes in this which you won't find necessary. I know exactly what's wrong with the air button, but haven't found a way of sorting it yet.

There's an moody version here, which I enjoyed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QroF5s4Nj9Y.

Pascale attentive as always to what others are playing.  (:)

The tunebook for 2 row boxes is well worth acquiring if you can, as has been said before. There are videos to accompany it.   ;D

That YouTube version is the one where I first heard Apres la Pluie.  I had actually been watching the previous one 'Rue de Pres' which I really enjoyed. The informal group seem so well attuned.
