It's heresy to suggest it, but a one row in D would be a much more powerful instrument with a C natural accidental somewhere.

Just to update, I was lucky enough to snaffle a D 4-stopper via ebay, following the comments above, and thanks to Microbot for his timely intervention via PM.  So now I'm happily trawling melnet threads for links to 'stuff' to play from the non-English repertoire, and boy, can these players make great music from the humblest of our boxes  ;).  Thanks again to all the contributors to this thread.
