Very nice, Clive!  And I like the sound of your box.....the tuning is on the dry side.  I must admit, I'm not fond of really wet boxes, especially those that are MMM.  In my days in the PA world, people said those kind of very wet boxes would "peel the wallpaper right off the wall of your Paris hotel room!"

Here's my recording for this theme, the 'thing from Moulin Rouge', also known as 'Where Is Your Heart'

Being in lockdown with my four kids might have had some influence on the choice of the tune.

Excellent, although your wall is schizophrenic, matchstick men stickers = kids. Giant Guiness ad = bloke. Are there really any kids there at all?

I know, I should have put a bottle of rhum for this one. Incidentally, that might also help me survive the lockdown...

I originally practiced a different tune, but then Corona caused me and my girlfriend to move in together earlier than expected and my free time has become harder to come by, so I preferred a rusty recording of a thing I used to practice over a crescendo of bum notes.

Here's La Resa Dei Conti, by Ennio Morricone from "For a Few Dollars More".

Do you have a Hohner from 1934-1945 with a serial number on?
Send me a private message or comment on the German Accordion Problem spreadsheet to improve the statistics of the project and get an estimate of the production date of the box if it is not known.

It fits the instrument perfectly. Well played, Eshed!

I note from the Wikipedia page on the song Delilah it was used in the following films and so should be eligible for this Theme   >:E

The song featured in the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands. In the 2005 film Romance and Cigarettes, the original recording plays on a jukebox while Christopher Walken sings along and mimes the action. In the 2013 film American Hustle, the song plays at a bar while Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner sing along.

That'll be the melodeon naughty step for you then...or should that be "stop"...

Bill, that was truly wonderful!  Nicely complements your Gene Kelly over-screen. Did I say wonderful?

Roman, very nice.  What voice and key are you playing in? (Would like to try it, Steve #101)

Thanks Steve. If my memory is correct, I'm playing in A/D (that is, in B minor) using the Castagnari Mory voice.
The actual tune is in D minor. I think I've got a score somewhere if that's of any use.

Edit: it's Mory Swing in fact.

Baby Elephant Walk would be one of those tunes that no self-respecting musician would ever consider.
But I've got nothing to lose, so here's a video of the tune massaged into something playable on my clackety old C/F Hohner Erica.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI7xv7ptTfY

Henry Mancini composed it for the 1962 film Hatari.

BTW I did an audio clip of the tune a few years ago and now I find its more difficult to play. Old age must be creeping up on me ...

Great playing, definitely did not expect anyone to post such a complex tune here. Well done!

Thanks Greg. Your sensitive playing of Lili Marlene really evokes a poignant reminder of those sad times, and playing the tune on a box made back then (in Germany?) is pretty special.

Thanks Smiley. It was special for me. When I was sixteen my mother and I went on on holiday to Austria together. She introduced me to alcohol, aka Austrian bier, in a small bar in a mountain village. There was a folk harpist there, playing the harp for a few pfennig. My mother sent me to request he play Lilli Marlene, because it was her favourite tune.
