anyone know this one?
« on: September 27, 2009, 05:27:48 PM »

I heard this tune 8 or 9 years ago, memorised it then as best I could - probably not very well - and have been playing it intermittently since, but without knowing anything about it or hearing it again. I think it was a belgian band that I heard playing it. But the tune doesn't seem particularly belgian to me. Perhaps a tarantella? Does anyone recognise it?

I have written it out in Em, although I've no idea now what key I heard it in.

T: does anyone know (anything about) this tune?

Fantastic. Did you somehow track that down or already know it? Either way many thanks.
Following up the clues from the accompanying text I found this other clip, to which the comments give more details. It's a chapelloise called Zelda, written by Philippe Plard.
It's a belter of a tune imo. Simple but full of energy and possibilities.
Thanks again, Tyker. And hooray (again) for melnet.

And I've now found yet another clip with it played by the man himself, together with a couple of hundred sweaty bods strutting their chapelloise(?) stuff.

I have listened to this group a few times . When I played the ABC I recognised the tune , but though Blowzabella and checked my recordings . It just sounded French .
