Sussex 3/2 hornpipes
« on: May 14, 2020, 11:58:02 AM »

A couple of these rather strange 3/2 hornpipes .

A couple of Sussex 3/2 hornpipes  - not Lancashire at all ! Cheshire Rounds and Dusty Miller , from the Welch family of Bosham manuscript 1800.

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

Controversial ! - posted by a Yorkshire Man ?!

But a good tune gets played everywhere  - and the Cheshire nationalists might take exception !
I wondered where the first tune came from as it didn't sound like any variants i'd heard - so now I know to look up the Welch family manuscripts.
thanks …
