I'm joining for the playing but I will be dancing too (if they'll have me!  ;D)

Borderline - as far as I can tell it's my nearest that'll let me dance! Plus I know a couple of them already so it won't be as scary!

Yes its a shame we can't change our user names. All of us on the button box weekend know each other, plus others. as gravels bank is so tiny and I am the only Mike who lives there my anonymity is already shot.

Oh it's you is it!  :D *waves* How's the squeezing going? Borderline are fun to watch, so should be fun to dance with.

Over in Cry Havoc world, I have plans afoot to learn a double jig with Vikki (!!!) which is going to be quite challenging, but am looking forward to it  :M :M

My fella and I are going to start in a couple of weeks (assuming the side will have us, we haven't actually contacted them but their website says where they are and to just come along).  Their practises actually start tomorrow but we can't go because we're seeing off a friend who's moving to Essex on Friday and then next week we're in France.

We're joining Lodestone border in Devon.  Can't wait!

Yes - that is what is called in these parts a "Betsy". Typically a large bearded bloke with big boots, bells and a flowery dress. It's totally normal for Morris  :M

I think it's safe to say I've just taken up morris dancing/playing!  :M :M :M  :|||: :|||: :|||: :M :M :M :|glug :|glug

Great fun - I picked up the tunes (although not quite the basses!!) and I didn't injure anyone with the sticks. A successful evening then! :)

Just had a fabulous time time playing for a Morris side again after a 30 year break! "Pink Bunnies from Hell" at the Masham Sheep Fair, great fun and all the cross dressing you can shake a stick at ::) Tony.

Hi. Sorry to be pedantic, well not really, but its just "Bunnies from Hell". No pink. The side colours are pink, grey & black in any combination. Most people choose to wear largely pink though. I was there too - big moustache & glasses. The weather was fabulous for the end of September, really enjoyed it, again. We should organize a bit more of a Bunnies tune-up next year. We've got some lovely tunes, and you could teach us some of yours. Cheers - Keithypete. (aka) Keith Bunny.
