Corona III with diagonal bass
« on: August 04, 2020, 01:04:08 AM »

Throughout the years I've seen some Corona III's with a diagonal bass setup, simlar to that of the Trichord.  All of which were/are boxes with the flush grill.  Any guesses as to why?  In that particular design, red celuloid with flush grill, did the Trichord come out first?

Perhaps Hohner used leftover material to build some Corona III's?   This latest thought is because of the attached photo.  The box says Corona III, but has diagonal bass set up.  But if you look very closely, you can see slightly 3 darker buttons on the treble side, the same buttons where the Trichords are blacked out.

I'm very currious to know the story behind this.  Am very grateful for any feedback received.   Thank you
