The title of the MASH theme is the rather depressing, "Suicide is Painless."

What? No one is doing "The Lord is My Shepherd" from the Vicar of Dibley?  There's a really sweet and lovely tune!

Flexing the definition of "TV Theme" a little (I suppose the Rugby World Cup was televised) this is Thaxted played on my Bb/Eb Erika.
Class!  Love it.

Having spent 25 years living just outside MidSomer Norton, there's really only one tune I could MuRder this month.  Making use of my newly installed low F and high G#  :D

A work of genius.  I'd say "chapeau" but speaking French would only get the neighbourhood watch in Midsomer talking... :|glug

Here's a contribution from me, a tune by the late Johnny Cunningham which is the theme music for 'The Beechgrove Garden' - a Sunday morning gardening programme broadcast from Aberdeen (I think). I had to play the A part an octave higher as I don't have enough low notes. Gives the 'dusty end' a workout anyway.
The programme only uses the A part, but here it is in it's entirety:

The title, incidentally, is a reflection of many hours spent on the road as a musician (tarmacadam - geddit?)

It's..........Monty Python's Flying Circus

https://youtu.be/rfVrltb6tn8

Most will know that it's actually The Liberty Bell by Sousa, sans third part which I have enough notes for on my two and a half row but lacked the patience to learn it.  So I played the first (main) two parts in the nice brass band key of Eb.

I feel like this month is a race, whether I can get a tune ready in time before pikey steals it.
Israeli TV is fine.....and Pikey probably hasn't watched all  of it.

At last a bit of class  (:) and it is indeed produced in (mostly) sunny Aberdeen. 8)

I tried to work out the red dwarf theme. But got stuck after "its cold outside there's no kind of atmosphere" then I can get the 'fun fun in the sun  sun sun". The bit in the middle eludes me.

Blackadder is a bit easier there's actually some legible notes online.

I tried to work out the red dwarf theme.

My plan's to do the outro to the episode 'gunmen of the apocalypse' - the western one?

I thought about the regular theme, too: the fun fun fun in the sun sun sun part in it 'bends minor', as it were. How are you playing at atm? perhaps I can point you in the right direction?

At the moment it has all the musicality of lister playing guitar. But I'll record what I've got in the morning if I can.

I found this video but can't make out the written music.

Hi LDT - nice to see you again! :-) Looking forward to hearing your version!

I've chosen a tune that I was fairly sure Pikey wouldn't go for, 'Roslin and Adama', a beautiful theme from Bear McCreary's score for the 2004 version of Battlestar Galactica. Bear's a hell of a composer, and produces scores for TV and film at an astonishing rate. His Battlestar Galactica music score in particular is an amazing piece of work, consistently great. His music really makes the series for me.

Played on a Van der Aa in G/C, and very much shoehorned into it. I don't think this is playable on any of my other boxes.
