A lockdown album from Gavin Atkin
« on: July 04, 2020, 02:31:54 PM »

I've made an album of songs and tunes with melodeon while on furlough. It's titled 'Rest You Here'.

Sample some of it here: https://youtu.be/-WojMx7BCFc

And buy it (pretty cheap) here:  https://gavinatkin.bandcamp.com/

It was fun to make and I hope some of you enjoy it.

Spent an agreeable time in the company of Gavin and his new album.

A fine example of how the melodeon can be used to accompany songs. I was particularly impressed by the chordal work.

The tune sets are none too shabby either...

Go on...have a listen... :|glug

Rest you here keeps getting some very nice comments... Here are two from /two more/ well known melodeon players.

'What a lovely laid-back and relaxed album. I particularly liked the last track Archie's Fancy + Elsie's Waltz.' - Rees Wesson

'A very good selection of material, very nicely played. Particularly pleased to hear your take on True Blue!' - Andy Turner

Find it here: https://gavinatkin.bandcamp.com/album/rest-you-here
