Help me identify
« on: August 13, 2020, 08:44:54 PM »

Hello!

This forum got recommended to me trough someone on reddit, I was wondering if anyone could helpme identify this specific instrument?

I got it from my Grandfather as a present. Weirdly enough no one really knows where it comes from... The only thing he could tell me is that he had it at home when he was younger (1930/1950sih) but no one could really play it. It ended up in a box straight after so we assume the box has not been opened for 60ish years at least.
I don't really know anything thing about melodeon's so any info would be greatly appreciated!
It produces different pitches depending on the direction of bellows movement.
I will add a link here to an imgur post with photographs from the instrument.

Kind Regards,

Daniel

It looks like a typical German 1 row which would have been mass produced over quite a long period of time. So, nothing special I would say.
