How admirable of the seller to anonimously post here to offer an "explanation"

he owes Rees the box as described at the agreed price

Perhaps it is time for someone to post their experiences with him and get that 100% approval down where it belongs

                             " WON "
what an interesting concept for buying something sight unseen
at a price higher  than anyone else is willing to pay

is this another...
although he has 100% Positive feedback
"genuine HOHNER ACCORDION antique mint condition"
"I have this item advertised else were and reserve the right to end auction early if needed"
"rare antique Hohner accordion"
"i dont know to much about this but it looks very appealing to the eye"
"markings are on the wooden part (M/E)"
is this a key that I'm unaware of?

Seller i.d. is "lomanspark" based in Berlin. Treat with caution.

You really should leave him stinking feedback on that deal.  It's listed as "Sold" on Ebay so it should be possible.  Since his feedback score's not huge a negative will make a difference.   Remember that a seller now can't leave negative feedback for a buyer so he can't post anything malicious about you.

I guess this thread is the ultimate in "eBay feedback"!

For that matter (and especially considering my experience over so-called "Cag Mach" reeds in the Hohner), I'd wonder if the Mengascini he's selling (in two parallel auctions) really does have "Hand made reeds" as he claims - that model normally comes fitted with Dural ones...

Is it possible to include a link to this thread in the eBay feedback text? That ought to scupper him.

Not that I'm overly sympathetic to this guy since he is actually a pretty experienced "ebayer" by his feedback.  I however am not so experienced.   I started my ebay ventures by placing a 400.00 Hedwitschak Bodhran without a reserve as one of my first auctions.  That was a mistake by the way.  However I ended up honoring the sale and only recieved 150.00 bucks for it.  My mistake was a costly and a valuable lesson. I now only sell with reserve prices if I sell anything of value.

A note to admin@ebay siting this thread and giving the url may get read although I suspect their interests and ours are diametrically opposed.

Hi Graham thats funny Inverness is an Island, a computer place in England told me Carriage to me would be dearer as Fife is an Island in Scotland you have to pay a toll onto Forth bridge  and further north another toll at the Tay to get off it.I didnt bother buying the PC, pointless arguing.

I queried that item to Ebay and among their response was the following, although by that time the auction had ended  ...

"Please note that such listings breaches our policy on binding bids. When sellers list an item, they're committing to sell it to the winning bidder. When someone bids on their listing, they're committing to buy it from the sellers if theirs is the highest bid. Sellers are not allowed to indicate in your listing that you may alter or not fulfil this contract."

Can't use the toll excuse anymore.  Most carriers charge more when they have to subcontract to local firms to deliver to remote places, which is understandable.  But Inverness is in the middle of a big bit of tar called the A9.  Not very remote.

There's a large national mail order outfit, Gael Force, in Inverness.  They charge standard postage throughout the UK, not "Lowland surcharge" or international rates for delivery to England.

My car got broken into in Middlesborough years ago - the discerning thieves stole my radio/casette player, which had a Dougie Pincock tape in, but left the Pokerwork on the back seat. It was worth more than the car - LOL.

Coming around again... ::)

Item #160381162489

It seems Eddie hadn't sold the box before the end of the previous auction then, and I see he doesn't have 100% positive feedback any more either, since Rees has left him a negative (dead right!) and commented "Irresponsible, to say the least - failed to supply the goods as offered. Beware!"

I wish I hadn't been so kind with what I left him myself now (two years ago), since what I haven't mentioned previously is that his feedback at the time revealed he'd just bought an old Black Dot - presumably the "donor" for the reeds and blocks I got, instead of the "Cag Mach" reeds he claimed were fitted in the box I bought. He deserved the exact same feedback off me!  ::)
