Pokerwork reed sensitivity
« on: November 09, 2009, 11:59:03 AM »

Had a chinese pokerwork for a couple of years now, used for morris and everything else ( as it's my only box).
Being a tinkerer I've put in a leather strip to limit button travel but my question is whether there is anything that can be done to make the box more responsive as I can't play quietly. Had a try of a Lily last week and found I could really vary the volume I could play at making it much more expressive. I love the pokerwork and it's great for dance tunes but can anything be done at reasonable cost to upgrade the box?
