And with last night seeing the last of LOTSW  >:( most appropriate Sarah

After such a run its sad they couldn't have planned its demise in the same way we said goodbye to Compo

I'm filling up 'ere  ;)

Richard - who made many trips to Holmfirth over the years to see his old girlfriend Agnes - until she was made homeless, stripped and turned out of her house then finally rebuilt in Tom Nuttall's marvelous steam museum at Markham Grange - just off the A1M near Doncaster and in steam Wednesday afternoons and most Bank Holidays, oh, that would be today.

I find LOTSW tediously dull and unfunny but well there's was nothing else on TV to watch...and the melodeon was in my hand so I had a go.

" I find LOTSW tediously dull and unfunny "

Agreed that in recent years it had become a somewhat 'stretched' parody of its former self, while acting as the 'waiting room' for declining comics, Sarah, you would probably have been teething during its heyday  :D

I kept watching mainly out of habit, something that I have not done with 'the Archers' which has outlived its interest  :(

Today has been breezy, bright and dry here, hopefully a forerunner for Saturday down in Wicked Suffolk - I'll keep a carefull eye out for flamboyant hats attached to lady melodeonists lurking near tea or cake stalls

Richard - who has just returned (crabless) from Cromer 'thass bin tew rough te goo out arter um' the man said - should have checked his blogg first (wheres the vomiting at awful puns emote when you need it ??)

My melodeon is falling to pieces.  :-\ I've had 4 springs break in the space of about 6 months, 2 treble, 2 bass. Ok, I'm not the lightest player around, and I play it every day, but with a box that is only 4 years old, these things should surely last longer?

I guess you're playing quite a lot, too, Ollie. Presumably all the springs will break one after the other now -- they are replacable parts after all.

My Oakwood did that when it was new - several bass springs in the first year. It's now been many years since the last one went.

It is now September 5th (or May 9th if you are American!) and there has been no post here for four days. Is this a record?  :||:

I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Surely after 92 pages the Title should have drifted into something like Thrud Raft or a similar group of letters?

Theo, do some thing about it or I'll come up there on my Bus Pass, strip to the waist and out drink you on Fed or Broon next Friday night.

Could do with some advice though, do you strip upwards or downwards from the waist and  if the waist is supposed to be the narrowest part of you, mine is just beneath my head.

I was hoping this thing had finally drifted away and expired...

If people would just stop giving it the kiss of life I would not need to do anything so hard hearted.
