Brian kindly consented to coming round to my house to do some videos for YouTube.  A mixture of traditional tunes and a couple of his own compositions.

Enjoy some wonderful English melodeon playing.

Edited to remove urls as, with Theo's help, the above links now work.

Also, please feel free to leave comments and ratings on YouTube (I believe you have to be a member to do this) if you are able.

What a great talent, thanks for posting. As a newbie I am really enjoying this English bounce style of playing over the Irish style. Is this a D/G instrument and who is the maker?

Yes he's very good.  He plays a Saltarelle DG, which is a French brand but I think all there boxes are made in Italy and badged as Saltarelle.  I'm not sure who actually makes them - could be Dino Bafetti.

Prince Cabourg's and Brown's Hornpipes are both from the Joshua Gibbons manuscript of tunes collected in Tealby, Lincolnshire, England, around 1823-1826.

BTW - Brian is playing an early Saltarelle Connemara 3 melodeon in D/G.
