I really love this tune. I love how some folks get the decending bass line happening. Normally I do this in other tunes but was on the outside row I think for this one so the bass sequence was a little different.

I came across some great sheet music for this piece as it would have taken me some time to learn it by ear!

Hope you enjoy my interpretation.

Thank you

didn't know which was best out of the two as both had mistakes.............

                                             ;D  :|||:  :||: By George, I think she's got it!  :||: :|||:  ;)
thank you...but there's still lots of errors. :(

Lovely stuff ldt, pleased to see that you are trying new things with the basses (:) You are sounding a lot more fluent on the keyboard as well, really nice to listen to.
I was trying to stick to um-pah..but my fingers just decided to do thier own thing...I'm still not sure exactly what I did.

On the down side, at the end of the descending phrase in bars 5 and 6, and where the same passage comes elsewhere, you are stumbling a little on the quick notes at the end of the sequence. This spoils it just a little, which is a shame. Do you know the bit I mean?
no.

BRill LDT - way better than mine!
AL
yours is better than mine..at least you can play more than one tune....I have a panic every time I have to play the same tune more than once round.

Well, here's mine... Though I rather think I should have waited until the end of the month. I haven't been playing all that long...

Nice playing. You're on the outer row, so you won't get those descending basses.

You think?  ;D

Take a close look at my princess royal video. Is that gap in the music (where the basses stop too) half way through all it seems?  :|bl

Cheers,

Clive

I have spent a few minutes reviewing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZVSD_ijtP8 :

  • 0:54 - Failed triplet
  • 1:30 - Failed triplet
  • 2:14 - Wrong tune altogether
  • 2:29 - Bass fingering error
  • 2:32 - Wrong bass/horrible noise
  • 3:27 - Horrible pause

At which point I stopped analysing   :'(

Here's another version - the first (and least naff) of several lamentable attempts at getting a presentable version on video.

Here's mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHzkF4KqqTI
Just the one idea here, and a cheap one at that.
Not had much time this month either to work on this or even to check out other offerings yet.
It's recorded on the new Zoom Q3 if anyone's interested. Video a bit rough but then I wasn't doing it any favours with the (lack of) light.
