A Book for those interested in the American Accordion Experience
« on: December 17, 2009, 07:15:45 PM »

So with all the threads and interest in the American makers Walters, Iorio and Baldoni I was browsing and found this on Amazon.  I'm sure it's predominantly Piano accordion stuff but I'll bet it covers American makers of Melodeons also.

....I take it you have a copy?

I do, and it's inscribed to me and autographed by Edwin Davison, one of the authors. But the book is very piano accordion-centric, and there's precious little to be gleaned about other types in the USA.

Yep, so much for that!.  I had the book...ended up giving it away.  It was like a "scrapbook" of anything related or remote to the piano accordion.  Let's just say, it could make  good archive material.

I have owned a copy of that book for many years. It has many interesting articles about instruments, manufacturers and musicians.
