Deck the Halls (with Christmas holly) springs to mind immediately.

Songs with Christmas as the subject? Blimey, how much time do you have?

Have yourself a merry little Christmas ...  ;)

Such as the good old Irish 48 bar reel Christmas Eve....

There's also the cracking little Christmas Polka I heard off Jackie Daly's 2nd recording...

(from what I recall, Christmas is also the name used for a set dance figure/manouvre...)

And there was another seasonal polka I recall (off a Bobby Gardiner recording) called Jack Gorman's Xmas Favourites... which had bits of Jingle Bells shoved into it... ::)

Seen the new Sting album?  On a Winters Night, including Julian Sutton on Castagnari Mory, Katherine and Peter Tickell on pipes and fiddle and some bloke with a beard and a guitar!

I got home from a gig last night and there they were on local TV playing 'Snow it Melts the Soonest'  and sitting in the corner of the Cumberland Arms where I sat and played in a session last Tuesday.  I've sat on the same seat as Sting, is that fame or what!  :|glug

Wasn't there a "Jingle Bells Polka" on "The Pigeon on The Gate" CD? (Answer myself now I've found it) Yes, number 28 on CD2, played by George Craske. Good Luck gypsylad!  ;)

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.
