Virtual sessions - but with Scottish music
« on: December 31, 2009, 05:07:47 PM »

I think that it is a shame that Scottish music does not appear in the virtual sessions. The stuff there at the moment is quite nice, but I don't want to play any of it. If anyone knows of a Scottish equivalent I should be eternally grateful.

Yes, and I suppose it would be fair to include English tunes too.

It's fun trying to play along with the Irish tunes, but I can't say I find it easy going.  So, something a bit more accessible would be good, too.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by virtual sessions? Am I missing the obvious?

Wow.  BBC rules.  Nothing like this in the States.

I did manage to learn a few from the BBc site however since meeting Mally at Whitby I have been learning from 3 of his tutor discs and making much better progress, they are played on a DG box,
