Melodeon Kids
« on: January 02, 2010, 01:42:09 AM »

I am getting together with my extended family tomorrow, January 2, 2010.

I will be taking with me a car load of melodeons. I have several one-rows in C and several two rows in G/C.

The kids had a blast the past two years making music.

It should be a glorious cacophony in C.

The little Chinese 7-button melodeons are difficult to play.

Regular 10 or 21 button melodeons work much better.

As long as each child is on the C row and the bellows is going in the same direction as the other boxes, it sounds like music to my ears.

I have tried 12 bass piano accordions, but if you press two adjacent keys you get horrible dissonance. On a melodeon if you press two adjacent buttons you get harmony.
