JIMBO playing 2 tunes on 10 pints of beer!
« on: January 02, 2010, 01:03:18 PM »

So we had a thread about drinking and playing!... but sometimes melodeon players just get into the playing 'zone' regardless
My hands had turned into useless objects at this point with just enough ability to hold the camera instead of playing!
After 1am in the morning (New Years Day) and the real ale stock of 27 pints has taken a big hit!
Three great tunes - 'May Reel' - 'Time will End' (J.McLane) from the playing style of the RANDOM Band and finally the 'Bacca Pipes Jig'
played on my battered old Saltarelle DG connemara 3 which was destroyed in a motorbike accident in 1999 and rebuilt!
Marvellous stuff Jimbo ... although he believes he made at least 5 big mistakes whilst playing it ...  ;)

Jeez!!! I want to do that.... though there's not a drop of real ale in the house and only 5 IPAs in the fridge.  :|glug  Seriously, great playing. Any chance you can post this in onmvoice so's I can get it into my iTunes, if that's OK of course? Joe

Totally out of sight!! I'd have been happy to buy the eleventh round if I'd been there. Thanks to both of you!

I must have a go at the zone method myself! Jimbo looks to be quite comfy with it. Great tunes, great camera work as well. Thanks for posting these DTN!........... :|glug

Brilliant!

And that was an on-camera mic?  Wow, sounded like my head was inside that Saltarelle!

  Well done!

Loved it, and the quality of the sound really did the performance justice.

Sometimes, however almost certainly not with a camera in my face!

Just found this recently on YT, and it's now my favourite box vid (I now that sounds like blatant creeping, but it's true).
