Another tune wot i wrote!
« on: February 05, 2010, 07:12:20 PM »

The 'Stella Sundari Waltz' named after a new baby my friend had last year.... the poor lady who gave birth was in labour for 4 days and the little girl was born on Christmas day!
Such a nice story ending .... I wrote this tune!

Nice story indeed, and a lovely tune. But I think you may unconsciously have been channelling J.S. Bach. Who better to channel, of course. The Toys?

Very nice tune. I can't stop playing it, which I must admit is rare for me with "English" tunes.
And while I admit there is a touch of Bach there, I wouldn't say more than a touch. Certain scales and arpeggios inevitably recall the most familiar classics. In a simple tune there are limits to "originality" and a catchy simplicity is always the best tune.
And Derek's is exactly that.
