Just joined - looks good.  Nic Jones!! 2 Albums  :D

Chris Wood's latest, 'Handmade Life', has recently made it to spotify (and emusic), and (desparate attempt to mention something melodeony), so has Chris Wood's retrospective album 'Albion', which features quite a few tracks from his albums with Andy Cutting and the Two Duos' Quartet

Cheers,

Clive

Due to a slight oversight in not cancelling this months spotify subscription in time (oops) I have another spotify invite going. First come first served, but they're limited to use in certain countries only (see www.spotify.com for details).

Cheers,

Clive

Oh, thank you for that info, Clive. I had tried searching for Chris Wood on Spotify but found nothing (well, only the wrong Chris Wood).
Somehow I managed to get into Spotify near the start, when all you had to do was find the site and register. It looks as if numbers are being limited now.

I would be very surprised if this album doesn't get the Album of the Year at the Folk Awards. If Hollow Point (sends shivers every time, even just reading the lyrics) doesn't get best folk song, I will eat every hat that I own.

Are you sure it's limited to 20 hours a month? I use it for a few hours most evenings, and I've never had any problems. The adverts are a little annoying, but you get used to it. No different to the radio...

Every Spiers and Boden album is now available.  :D

Yes, it's a new package they're offering - they've changed their packages around today. If you've got the old client and don't let it upgrade, I'm not quite sure what would happen, nor what happens if you were already using the free ad-supported service.

Cheers,

Clive

Haven't taken the plunge yet but it looks very tempting . . . . once you've got it installed can you then listen to it via an internet radio or are you restricted to being within earshot of your PC?

Anyone got a spare invitiation? It would be much appreciated!

For anyone that is interested, I've put together a playlist of all artists (I think) mentioned in this thread.
