It is not unusual that here - in Austria and  Slovenia (origin of the videos), maybe also czech republic  - children start playing the "Steirische" at that age .

Great use of the right hand thumb as well - just like a proper accordion player - really must learn to do that :D

Is that really the proper use for the Right thumb?  I've always been taught that the proper place is on the side of the accordion keyboard so as to assist with support of the accordion while playing?  Maybe his technicque is actually a variation of PA technique, although his little hands probably require the use of that right thumb to play all the notes.

Yep - particularly in the Steirische world thumb is used extensively - just like on a PA & CBA.
