Trust Batten will forgive me borrowing his words but just before I read the whole thread I was going to ask a c#D   D#C question

"Brand New D/C# Saltarelle Bouebe for sale.
i purchased it with the understanding it was a C#D.not a D/C#".

cheers.mike

Q: Is the first key of a two row  (e.g. D#C) always the inside row? So D inside and C# outside row?
tks

Nope! the outside row should always come first D/G, C/F etc so a D/C# would have an outside D and inside C# thus being a completely different setup to a B/C or C/C#.

So it's back tp front as it were, D G being written D on the left but physically D on the outside right...?

Think of it as starting with the lower pitch row, followed by the higher pitch row, then there is no ambiguity.

The player (struggling player at least!) holding the box as normal, left hand on the bass, and looking downwards at the two rows of buttons played by the right hand........... ???
