Brunnhilde's first recording.

Fabulous!
Any more where that box came from?

Brunnhilde's first recording.

What a sound!  I don't remember hearing anything like that before.  The only problem with it is that I almost don't notice the tune, because the bass grabs all my attention!

"Bass In Your Face!", as the saying goes.   8)

Well here we go then.
This is mainly to show off my Emmanuel Pariselle 2 1/2 row G/C (Although what I want with 14 bass button I've yet to find out) that I built on a course with him in Belgium in 2009. Also a sunburnt right hand and a rather sexy white knee. Hmmm!. Well only been shorts weather for a few days now over here.

Not I might add for my actual playing (bit fast) of the tune. :|bl :|glug

Rees re-tuned this box for me. It was in a rather (or so I thought ) wishy washy Swing tuning. Well done Rees.

That was a cool version of the tune, Chas! Looks like you had a warm and sunny weekend too, up there (at least looking at your clothes!).

Waltzman, yes, I bet Laura is jealous, she is upset particularly for the fact that she is waiting to be sold, so that I can buy another Lilly (a G/C).

Well I have FINALLY got round to recording a TOTM. It's the first one I've ever done, so be nice. There are some pretty shocking mistakes, but my second year exams start tomorrow morning, so I only did one take. I combined it with LIDL so as to kill two TOTMs with one stone. Both tunes were played from memory and I've only played LIDL a couple of times since November, so I was reasonably impressed that I could remember it. What else can I say. Oh yeah, I am 21, not 14, no matter what my appearance suggests and I am wearing my Cambridge University Ceilidh Band polo shirt.

No need to be nice (as in charitable), it was a really good performance with seamless transitions between the two tunes (and back again). Well done mate, honestly.

I thought that was great, BUT - listening to you mixing Michael Turner's with LIDL really messed with my head.

Every time I tried to start playing MT, I ended up with LIDL instead.

Took me quite a while to lose the LIDL ear worm  (:)

Here's a last minute attempt at MT:

Still loads of mistakes, sorry.

I only heard a couple of minor slips near the end, otherwise it had a nice steady rhythm and a lovely lilt. The box sounds grand!

A month late, a dollar short, and going the wrong direction, as we say...
Here's my take: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59ZbxxB4chw

Now time to look at June's!

Hi all, here is my first TOTM for a few months. I have been a bit distracted learning some tunes to play with my Morris side. Trying to catch up :Ph
