Thing that helped me make progress with Melodeon bass was learning to play Stradella bass on BCC# then coming back to the melodeon Bass BC. Might not work for all, as I know that the Melodeon bass is nothing but a source of frustration for some BCC# players. I now better appreciate the unique advantages of the admittedly more restrictive melodeon bass in some situations but equally enjoy the much greater flexibility of the Stradella.

I like the 12 stradella double ray BC and wonder why hohner never offered the 12  stradella on the Erica
