Sounds great! What box are you playing that on?

Cheers,

Clive

I think I hear a Hohner percussion section in the background! ;D

Ok, just in time, here is "Cock of the North", plus "100 pipers" and "Gary Owen", a set I regularly do in sessions locally.  In fact it is so well known that it has been named "the military set".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyyjspuVZOI

A couple of discontinuities, not sure if it was me or the technology!  I have finally nailed the recording and editing on my Linux system, due to having more time now I am "semi" retired.

I find it very difficult to get the excitement without the session or the band around me!

Also one good example of playing through a small mistake (look out for the smile).

I enjoyed that, Anatoly. Nice to hear someone playing the usual Scottish version of Cock O' The North (2nd time through the B part, play the last line of the A part, rather than just repeating the B part, which is somehow less interesting).

A neat trick, playing in a chair with arms! We sometimes play in a nursing home which only has chairs with arms - a bit of a problem with large accordions. Last time I took my own stool.

Thanks Bill that's what I am after ;)

The chair is not that bad if you sit on the edge ;D And anyway that's the only chair I have near my computer (:)

Hey everyone - I thought whilst I was searching Youtube for some accordion vids that I'd just have a quick butcher's at our July tune of the month. Unfortunately I mis-typed my search terms into the search box :- 'Cock of the Month'    :|bl  :|bl  :|bl  :|bl

You can guess what appeared on my screen - and not a melodeon in sight!!!

Having missed out on doing a TOTM last month, I thought I'd better get something posted pdq.

Here's my one (warts and all); first Youtube outing for the new/old/refurbished/converted Liliput:

Hello,

Newbie here! I got my box a couple of weeks ago and after bashing my way though a few nursery rhymes I thought I'd have a go at this. I like this tune and I thought I might get some useful feedback from the forum.

Anyway here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yD7SggHjwk

I have to concentrate a bit too much to really let it flow but I'm quite pleased with it.

This was recorded 'live' yesterday by me and Susi hence the background noise.

Nicely played Don! The video threw me for a minute or two, with the mirror-image 'Hohner' lettering, but then I realised this is a reversed image video of you playing the box left-handed and upside down!
