Another nice tune used by Blowzabella is the Finnish Schottische... gently ambling along in D major... sucking all the D/G melodeon players in... then lurches over to G minor... ready to spit them all out again! ;D

You can play in G minor without too much trouble on a D/G (:) Which is the Finnish Schottische? I'm sure that I know it, but can't find it at the moment.

Neither can I... nothing seems to be coming up on the ABC searches...

Might have a go at coding it in myself... here's my half remembered scribblings...  :|glug

Accidentals not quite in the right place for a bog standard D/G (or the low C for that matter), but the tune can be 'fudged' with care... ;)

I think that B?/E? melodeon is less common than D/G G/C, C/F.

As if by magic... there's a super little Bb/Eb box just appeared on Buy & Sell... 8)

Thank you for your reply, everyone!
All you have a lot of knowledge!!

Dear granderbox
You have wrotten all what I would like to say!
As you said, I will play minor and major combination depending on tunes.
Now I try to play "La hulotte/la mre est blanche" recorded by Patric Bouffard(Rabaterie).
The first tune is G minor to G, and second tune is G.
I play it on G/C/Acc, easily bass and treble.

Dear EeeJay
Yea, you mean full size acorrdeons are played in France.
Almost all Japanease don't have well-built physique(I am 170 cm hight).
I manage to play Castagnari Mory, but it is slightly large for me.
I think it is also useful the C#/D/G system!

I am temped by the box EeeJay shown.
I have ordered many instruments eg B. Gaillard, Maugein C/F/Acc 3 voice, cornemuse etal.
My wife is very strict...

Super venue and I must get back there - note just how BIG the Auvergnat bourrée has become - this its 'cultural hot spot'
