Can the old (Spiers) melodeon forum still be searched?
« on: July 11, 2010, 10:44:05 AM »

I have found being able to search melnet very useful. However, there must be a wealth of information in the old forum, possibly about topics that people may not be inclined to contribute to yet again from a fresh enquirer (eg all about Liliputs).

Is it possible to search the old forum without signing in (I was not a member then)?

I presume the alternative is to wade through all the topics .... might save that for the winter.

I can search without logging in, it should be the same for anyone.

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Thanks. I was looking for a blank box to enter my search words, like in the new melnet. My daughter spotted the Search button, so all okay now.

There is a fair chance that new melnetters (like me) could ask questions that have been well aired previously. I think we would be more than happy for old hands who spot this to draw our attention to the fact so we know to go and search for it (a link would be even better). I have just come across an incredibly helpful thread in the old melnet which I will post a link to within a currently running topic.
