I approached and asked if he was a member of melnet - to which came his response: "God no...they're just a bunch of #@!^%~!" [insert expletive of your own choice]

???  Is that a commonly held view?

It seems surprising to me that this might have occurred - but I'm usually the last person to pick up on this sort of thing.
Are you sure you said melodeon.net clearly...coz it can sound like another 'forum' if you mumble melnet? ;)

Or may have mistaken it for one of the other, less 'refined' fora we have heard of in recent posts about Mustard etc.

What's the latest on the badge front? Has a design been agreed yet?

Not as far as I know. As I recall, Theo's suggestion was to put the various designs to a poll.

Excellent choice of badges makes it quite hard to decide which...but I've voted! :Ph

A monacled man, riding a bycycle, while carrying a melodeon, with a large reptile wrapped about his solar topeed head ??

Thats just the sort of person I generally go to great lengths to avoid upsetting or saying anything controversial to.

Now a cleric - well they are in the confession business and fair game even if off duty - what say Al ?
