I was looking for an ABC of this  "scottish finlandaise" and was wondering if
any of you folks can help

I tried JC's Tunefinder, but came up with nothing onthe full name. I tried just "Finland" and got 1000 ideas, some of which seemed to be schottisches. Have you any more information on the tune?

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

I guess the scottisch finlandaise is either a finnish scottisch with a french name or a french scottisch named after finland. Anyway, a scottisch-temp seems appropriate.  :)

Thank you indeed mr kat! That's saved me an awful lot of perspiration. I had set aside tonight to change the tune from Dm to Em. I wil now have time to write Sunday's sermon. Hooray!

change the tune from Dm to Em

I don't know if the "scottish finlandaise" is a french version of a finnish tune,but I've found that a lot of the Diato players have lost the rythym of the foreign tunes that they're trying to play.
