help required with keyboard layout
« on: September 01, 2010, 11:04:54 AM »

Could anybody advise on the best possible keyboard layout for an A/D melodeon to accompany a Scottish smallpipes player who uses an A chanter i.e. keys of A and D with flattened 7th, as per highland pipes. I am having difficulty trying to arrange the lower notes to include a G natural in best possible position(s?). Any help gratefully received!!

Depends slightly on exactly what low note arrangements you hve to start with.
By analogy with my D/G which has a low C natural, if it has a low A on pull on the D row, change that to a G.
